Individuals who have a
record of serving time in juvenile detention or jail often have difficulty obtaining a job. Employers find the
risk of hiring such an individual too great, and applicants often do not have the work experience or references
required. Light to the City will provide career guidance services to help at-risk youth find employment through creating a network of organizations and businesses that have experience employing those who are in the rehabilitation process. Also, Light to the City will serve as a reference and provide accountability and supervision during the employment period. |
