Highlights of Business Development

  • June 10, 2007.Three business enterprises consolidated within Light to the City: LTC Fashion, LTC Clean-up and LTC Construction. See enterprises
  • July 3, 2007. Light to the City purchases a 2001 GMC heavy-duty dual cab truck for LTC Clean-up and LTC Construction, and has also purchased a heavy-duty trailer, with approximately 10,000 lbs. capacity. The trailer is new and custom-designed and will require two weeks to be built. So it should be ready around July 17. Finally, we are working with the sign people for the LTC logo, images and information decals for the truck. We don't have a photo of it yet, so this is the closest we could get to it at CarMax online, but ours is white, a couple of years older and doesn't have quite so much chrome.

  • July 7, 2007. We have completed design of the promotional flyers for LTC Clean-up and LTC Construction and anticipate printing approximately 10,000. They are similar to pizza ads and have a hole cut in the top so we can hang them on the front door knob of homes and businesses within our working radius. They will be printed on both sides, one company to a side, with a similar motif and different detail.
  • July 8, 2007. We are excited about the start-up of LTC Clean-up and LTC Construction! These two enterprises will employ initially a crew of two to four or more people, will provide jobs, service and new opportunities of Light to the City to serve in the community. We finished making flyers to hang on door knobs for both residences and businesses. They are printed front and back as shown below, and we had an initial printing of 10,000. One person can distribute about 300 in a morning. So we hope this promotion, plus other efforts, will start to bring in a steady business. We ask your prayers.
  • July 18, 2007. The 10,000 pound capacity custom-built trailer be had built for LTC Cleaning and LTC Construction has been completed, and with a few small modifications, is ready for pick-up. We will put it into use right away, as we have several job orders queued-up and waiting.
  • July 23, 2007. The 10,000 pound capacity custom-built trailer we had built for LTC Cleaning and LTC Construction is complete, we took delivery. We are preparing Light to the City logos and information signs for the truck and trailer and will post the finished photos here when we're done. In the mean time, we have found a video from the website of trailer with almost exactly the same configuration. Here's a Trailer Video. Our trailer is almost exactly the same, except ours is white, the same color as the truck, and the sides are two feet higher, for larger capacity. We will put it into use right away, as we have several job orders queued-up and waiting.

We Report our Performance & Request Your Support

Light to the City so far, in the first six months of operation, owns and operates three business enterprises founded on the basic 10-Step Program indicated above. They all began as one individual's dream and grew as a cooperative effort to make that dream a reality.

Each organization is managed through a partnership between the individual and the Light to the City, providing employment in the community and growth and increasing independence over time to the individual whose dream initiated the process.

LTC enterprises are partnerships by mutual choice to cooperate for greater success. Each enterprise is unique and will grow along a unique path. We seek to serve individuals and the community through the process and make our homes and lives better.

Our motto to our customers is "Make your money work twice as hard", because when you hire an LTC enterprise, you first get a great job, done right and guaranteed and second, you partner with us helping people get an education and the training for their careers, strengthening the whole community.

Doing business with Christian values is what the world needs more of. We hear the terms "cut-throat", "dog-eat-dog" and "survival of the fittest" so often we have come to respect and even revere these concepts. But it need not be so.

LTC enterprises employ values that say "Good business is business that is good for both parties". An extension of that is "If it's not good for you, then it's not good for me". We believe that by putting these values into practice, we strengthen the fabric of our homes, communities and lives.

We seek your support. We need your prayers and financial donations. We believe that we can make a difference. Gangs, drugs, teenage pregnancies, violence, crime ... are all around us. We are fighting back by building individual lives and community integrity. Will you join with us?

One question overrides all others:

What would Jesus do?

Where there was once weakness, there is strength.
Where there was once aimlessness, there is purpose.
Where there was once futility, there is hope.
Where the children were once living in darkness,
We see them coming to the one True Light.

With your support we can make dreams come true!

In order to apply the best modern business management skills to the stewardship of what are essentially all God's assets which he has entrusted to us and to minister to the needs of the individual and the community according wisdom, prudence and efficiency, we are constantly in study.
