One of the most common questions that we get when we talk to people is "Why the Czech Republic?" Let us share a little of what God has been showing us.

One of the key reasons for us is the need for the good news of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed throughout Europe and for many to come to know Jesus in a deep and real way.  Europe is now the least Christian continent at less than 4% and is increasingly secular.  Czech is at the geographic heart of Europe and Prague is a gateway city between the East and West.  The spiritual need here is exceedingly great, with less than 1/2 % believing and following Jesus.

In April 2015, the Washington Post shared some very startling numbers on the worlds least religious countries. For the whole article click here

The survey of 65 countries, conducted by Gallup International and the WI Network of Market Research, is based on 63,898 interviews. China tops the list of the world’s least religious nations by far; it’s followed by countries in Europe — about three fourth of all Swedish and Czech also said that they were either atheists or not religious.

The good news is that there is hope for this city and this country.  We are working with a team that has been serving to see disciples of Jesus Christ made and new churches formed throughout the Czech Republic. We are playing a role in reaching out where we live, through our relationships in our local church and through connecting to churches around Prague to support them as they take the gospel to their neighbors, and growing movement to see Czech churches sending out missionaries to the world!
